SO HERE COMES THE DIRT! It couldn't be helped. CNN reports that Paul Ryan has a black sister-in-law and that when he was in college his sweetheart was Black. Somehow that is supposed to imply that he is racist? Or is it to diminish his purity in the eyes of the conservative Tea Party? The media this morning began the comparison to the life of Lou Dobbs who was portrayed as the leader of the illegal immigration movement even though he is married to a Mexican American, has Mexican American children and has a Mexican mother in law who lives with him. Then to make it even more ugly they suggested that perhaps Ryan's views toward Blacks could be more like Senator Thurmond who had a daughter with a Black staff member. Senator Thurmond it is noted took care of the daughter all his life and visited her regularly at school never denying the relationship. It is then implied that perhaps Ryan is only racist in his policies and one should review his record on ethnic issues to make sure he is not racist. So, buckle your seat belts and get ready for the next round of mud slinging against a man who dated outside his race and has a mixed in law family! This is another of the many examples of the media strategy of political manipulation. In this day of interracial relationships and marriage one would think they would champion Ryan's past. After all the man in the White House, their hero, is the product of a mixed relationship. But, no, somehow this implies Ryan is perhaps racist. And, as with Lou Dobbs, it wouldn't even matter if he had married his college sweetheart. I wonder if yesterday's message from Obama to romney "When you run for President your life is an open book(referring to taxes)" was really a set up for todays CNN disclosure and implications on Ryan? Is this more of the Biden "return to shackles" strategy? Or the undocumented tax accusations or claim of murder against Romney? Sad, very sad.

A PRESS CONFERENCE!

In a surprise move yesterday the President wandered out to talk to the Press Corps. Today he is probably reminded of why he's better off to avoid them. They actually ask the questions that the hand picked talk show hosts don't. But, I guess the President thought it best to try and cunter all the press Romney is getting after his Ryan pick and in addressing the Aiken "Biden Moment". After his declaraction of outrage over Aiken's views and attempt to make the Republican party take ownership for the gaff, he had to answer some questions about his smear tactics of Romney. He boldly took the moral high ground declaring he isn't in charge of those ads and did not approve them. The "I" man not in charge? I suppose if the raid on Bin Laden had gone bad he would have blamed that on someone else as well. On the other hand it may be that this President is really not in charge at all. After all the Democratic Senate cannot even function. He dismissed the retired Navy Seals' anger over his leaks. He warned Assad that the US might have to take military action if he doesn't behave. Really? Do you think he is just in a police action like the mayor of Oakland took against the Occupy group? In the end he managed to leave the press conference with wounds and a disappointed expression on his face. Another miscalculation as he chose the moment of Aiken's shame to try for a homerun and ended up with a week ground out to second. My guess is he will not face the press again this year but will instead make speeches to address the potential hot issues that arise. Iran,Syria,Egypt,Afghanistan,Europe bailouts,Jobs #'s, etc.

Meanwhile his funds are dwindling, his support falling, his staff rumored to be at odds, his VP once again being panned as the all time Gaffer and his willingness to talk energy, healthcare, budgets, fiscal policy, welfare,Russia,China,Iran,Israel,Afghanistan, and anything except race, wealth and taxes disappearing. He should call Condi Rice and get his 121st Tee time at Augusta as her first guest and relax!

OBSERVATIONS:

SYRIA: Continues it's murderous ways supported by Putin. Growing ever more bold Assad, recently seen praying in church, now unleashes fighter bombers on the population. More than a million refugees on the move.

IRAN: Continues it's brash callings for the demolition of Israel.

TALIBAN: Infiltration of Afghan trainees by Taliban suicide killers results in more and more American deaths in a war we are waiting for an election to conclude before pulling out. Now readied with loaded weapons the American trainers must try to train an Army while defending themselves from the exact people they are training. Meanwhile UN snipers watch over the sessions from afar ready to kill any suspicious looking trainiee. This stalling action is so reminiscent of the politics of Vietnam as to bring tears to the ees of those of us who lost our peers there.

OBAMA: Totally in mothballs as a leader. Ignoring the international needs of the country. So afraid to anger his base. Symbolic and hollow jestures of leadership such as the call for a few days of relief from rising gas prices with "possible " use of the nation's Strategic Reserves. Where have gone the drone strikes, the line in the sand for Iran, the no fly zone strategy for Syria that helped the rebels in Libya?

PUTIN: Reinforcing his KGB trainig to eliminate opposition and tightening the reins on democratic movements. Moving to pursue the "Cold War" tatics of the Soviet Union. Demonstrating his true position as dictator of Russia. When does Obama speak up?

PRESS CONFERENCES: Nonexistent. May as well disband the White House press corps. Similar strategy that was used by Bush and Clinton to avoid the big issues of their reelection campaign.

CALIFORNIA: Just returned from a week there. Great wine. Great weather. Idiotic political and fiscal policies. Perhaps the single greatest mismanagement of financial resources in the world as the entire state heads like Lemmings into bankruptcy. California is rich and has many of the wealthiest people and businesses in the world. And, yet, in a desperate attempt to have things their way the Democrats have destroyed the education system, the financial ability of cities to provide services and are on a path to fiscal destruction of their state through massive taxes and more tax increases on the way. A 5 day car rental costs $700 and includes more than $100 in fees and taxes. And, that's not Hertz!

RYAN: The one thing that Ryan's nomination did is to return the debate at least partially to the issues of fiscal policy and Medicare reform. I'm not as conservative as Ryan but I applaude him for his willingness to talk the issues. For a moment in this campaign at least we are out of the personal garbage slinging and onto the issues that matter.

BIG SHIFT IN 'MO',since the Roberts' Court decided 'O-Care'was an appropriate substitute for Constitutional Limits. Although, The 'Chess' strategy may yet play out . Ryan has turned the 'SHIP'. Someone is finally on guard from the 'flurry' of incessant nonsense.
Hopefully they will retort on Biden's Charge of "The Unschackling
of Wall St", by Romney and Assoc. A 'Call In' to Limbaugh today by what seemed a well informed woman announced The Dept. of Justices' Record in the last three Administrations in this regard. Seems Clinton A.G brought over 1000 suits against Wall St. Bush brought over 1300 and Sarbanes Oxley, which commits the CEO's & CFO's.
Obama/Holder has brought '0'; and announced on the WSJ this week that any Prosecutions toward Goldman and MF Global's Corzine (D-NJ)
would not be pressed. Where's the Campaign on this ?
